Talent, incredible stage presence, and a unique twist in the music industry. Chloe and Halle Bailey, the incredible duo behind “Chloe x Halle”, are making headlines as they take the music industry by storm. Their talent has made them become artists to definitely look out for.

Chloe and Halle Bailey are sisters who sing R&B with a hint of 90s influence. They are commonly known for harmonizing gorgeously in songs and being incredible stage performers. They incorporate bright lights, detailed costumes, and great synchronized dances in all their performances. Each performance they’ve given has been unique and eye-catching. 

Chloe and Halle Bailey were born in Altanta and grew up in Mableton, Georgia. At the age of 3, Chloe played the role of a young Beyonce in the film “The Fighting Temptations”. After getting a taste of working in Hollywood, the siblings moved to Los Angeles in 2012.

In late 2012, Chloe and Halle Bailey started out on Youtube uploading covers of their favorite songs. After going viral for covering Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had”, they began to catch the attention of millions around the world. From that video alone, they gained over 600,000 subscribers.They started uploading more covers by artists like Miley Cyrus, Adele, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry. Their videos earned more that 50 million views total. Due to their popularity on Youtube, Chloe and Halle became Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing”. While working with Disney and continuing their covers on Youtube, they caught the attention of Beyonce. 

Beyonce reposted their cover of “Pretty Hurts” on her official Facebook page and later signed them to her Parkwood Entertainment Label.  Their contract with Beyonce is a million dollar record deal for six albums. With Beyonce’s support and endorsement, they wrote and produced their own EP. 

“The Two of Us” was released in the spring of 2017. The EP was produced and written entirely by the duo. Since the album was such a success, they became the opening act of Beyonce’s “The Formation World Tour” and “On the Run II Tour”. They sang in front of millions of people every night for the entire summer. They also appeared in Beyonce’s music video for “All Night” for her “Lemonade” album. Their success in the music industry began to skyrocket. 

In 2018, they made their first onscreen acting debut on Freeform’s “Grown-ish”. Starring alongside Yara Shahidi, they became series regulars as a pair of twins on the school’s track team. They slowly began to incorporate their musical side on the show as the series continued. Their songs played in many episodes and they had the chance to sing the theme song of the show. 

With their many talents being executed through music and television, Halle Bailey caught the attention of Disney Studios. In July 2019, Disney announced that Halle was casted as the role of Ariel in the upcoming “The Little Mermaid” live-action film. It began filming in London in early 2020, and it’s expected to be released sometime between 2021 to 2023.

After Disney announced their casting of Halle in one of the most anticipated movies to date, the duo released a new album titled “Ungodly Hour”. The album featured 13 songs filled with gorgeous harmonies, incredible instruments, and profound lyrics. The album became a hit on the music charts and earned them two grammy nominations for Best Traditional R&B album and Best Progressive R&B album. 

Chloe and Halle Bailey are a multitalented duo who have definitely made a mark in the music and film industry. Their unique music and great acting has made them become two artists to keep an eye on.
