Sahil Mehta, 25, makes $515,000 per year as a real estate investor and developer. He currently lives in Berkeley, California and works for Golden Gate Sotherby’s.

The day to day can be unpredictable since he makes money off of commissions. However, his income has increased because the market has increased over the past few years.

Mehta was born and raised in Baltimore. His dad worked as a physician, and his mom owned a business. However, they lost a lot when the market crashed in 2000 and 2008. It was during these times that he learned the importance of saving money and taking risks.

Metha’s monthly budget is about $14,983. He owns his current building, so he does not pay rent. He currently has $84,000 in personal savings.

“Generally, I’d like to save more than half of what I make in a month,” he said. Although his goal is to save as much as possible, it can be difficult due to unpredictable expenses in the real estate industry. 

Looking ahead, his main goal is to push as high as he can with no particular number in mind.

“We were able to have them retire entirely,” he said.
